FREQUENTLY ASKED FUNDRAISING QUESTIONS

Q: How do I start a fundraiser program?

A: Contact the authorized fundraiser distributor in your area. There is one for Texas, and for another for Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Missouri. If you are having trouble contacting a distributor in your area, please contact us, we will be happy to help get your program up and running.

Q: How long can I keep my product outside of refrigeration?

A: Because this product is food, it will be delivered to your school or organization in a frozen state. It is recommended that once distribution has started, that the product be returned to refrigeration as quickly as possible, or within four (4) hours of removal from the freezer.

Q: Are the egg products used in your fundraiser cookies safe?

A: The egg products used in all Gladder's Gourmet products are pasteurized egg products, and have been tested and certified prior to shipment. The low moisture and high sugar content of cookie products makes them a stable and safe food product if handled within "safe food handling practices". As with any food product, mishandling or handling in an unsanitary environment can cause food borne illness.

Q: How long will my product last inside the refrigerator?

A: Gladder's Gourmet products will last up to thirteen (13) weeks in the refrigerator, as long as they remain in their original package. As long as the product is handled in a sanitary environment, and sealed tightly in an approved, food storage container, you should obtain a shelf life of 13 weeks maximum. It is rare that the box of cookies will last that long!

Q: When will I receive my shipment of cookies?

A: Your fundraiser distributor will arrange with you, a place, time, and delivery date to meet the needs of your organization. Please keep the name and number of your distributor handy at all times, and coordinate with them closely to meet your delivery timeframe and schedule.

Q: Do I have to pay for my order prior to shipment?

A: This will depend on the arrangements you have made with the distributor in your area. In general, your order will be paid for in advance of shipment unless other arrangements have been made with the distributor.

Q: If there is a problem with my order, who do I contact to correct this problem?

A: You will need to contact the distributor in your area, or the school or organization that sold you the product. Gladder's Gourmet is a manufacturer, and does not sell directly to the public. The distributor will take care of your problem as quickly as possible, however, if for some reason you cannot contact the distributor in your area, Gladder's Gourmet will be glad to assist you in contacting them, and helping to resolve your problem. Click HERE for a listing of our distributors.

Q: Can I cut the cookie buttons in half, or quarters, and bake them that way?

A: Yes you can. You can take the cookie portions and make them any size you would like. Cutting them in half will double the cookies to 72, and allow for a cookie well suited for small hands. We also have a long list of helpful information that you may find useful. You can find this information HERE.

Q: Do you offer services where the orders are "picked" by student?

A: Yes. Kolodziej's Foodservice and Fundraising provides this service, and they can arrange to have this service in place for you when you set up your fundraising program. You can contact them HERE. Gladder's Gourmet Cookies, Inc., is a manufacturer of cookie products, and does not distribute fundraisers directly to the end users.

Q: I threw away the box and lost the baking instructions. Can you tell me your baking instructions?

A: In a "convection" oven, preheat the oven to 300 - 315 degrees Fahrenheit, and bake for 10:30 - 12:00 minutes.  In a "conventional" oven, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and bake for 10:30 - 12:00 minutes. Oven times may vary greatly, depending on the make and type of oven used. We also have a long list of helpful information that you may find useful. You can find this information HERE.

Q: Are your products Kosher?

A: Yes, all products at Gladder's Gourmet are certified Kosher Pareve, or Kosher Dairy by Organized Kashrus Laboratories, NY, NY.

Q: I would rather purchase from a Texas based company. Where is Gladder's Gourmet Cookies located?

A: Gladder's Gourmet Cookies is located 35 miles SE of Austin, TX, on US 183, in the small community of Lockhart. Gladder's has been located there since 1994. Since Gladder's Gourmet does not sell directly to the end user, contact our Texas Distributor by clicking HERE.

Q: My child has allergies to peanuts and/or milk. Does Gladder's Gourmet have quality assurance programs that control allergens, and cross contamination?

A: Yes, Gladder's Gourmet Quality Assurance program addresses allergens, and allergen exposure to our products. Our program includes documented cleanup procedures, sanitation procedures, and residual protein tests prior to production of our products. Gladder's Gourmet does not manufacture non-allergen products and allergen products at the same time, or before assuring that proper cleaning and sanitation has occurred prior to production. None of our products are made with milk, or milk products. However, some of our chocolate products were manufactured with equipment that also makes milk chocolate.

Q: I would like to have Nutritional and ingredient statement information on your products. Where can I find this information?
